WWE Extreme Rules 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen
9. The Raw Women's Title Match Is The Most Violent
Read through the card for Extreme Rules and you'll notice that Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax stands out. There's a Steel Cage bout, a Tables Match (the Kickoff tag between The New Day and Sanity), a Shark Cage spectacle and an Iron Man epic, but theirs is the only titular match on there. This is presumably WWE's way of shining a spotlight on the Raw Women's Title.
Good: they should be.
If the Jax vs. Bliss match is booked to be the show's most violent, it'll help the title mix look intense right in time for Ronda Rousey's return form storyline suspension. That can only be a positive, because then Rousey will have a devious, ruthless champion (Alexa) to beat at SummerSlam, assuming that's the plan.
Even if it's not, it makes sense that the Raw Women's Title match, as the only Extreme Rules one, would be laced with stiff weapon shots and more aggression than any of the others on Sunday. Those kendo stick strikes on Raw were satisfying, and the match needs plenty of them.
