WWE Extreme Rules 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen
7. At Least A Handful Of The Matches Are Kept Short
Again, matches like The Deleters Of Worlds vs. The B-Team, Finn Bálor vs. Constable Corbin, Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns vs. Bobby Lashley have a bit of a stop gap feel to them. Although that's not a huge problem, it does mean some of them will need to be on the shorter side so they don't outstay their welcome.
Don't forget, WWE have scheduled 11 matches (including the Kickoff) for Extreme Rules. That's just three fewer than WrestleMania 34, and exactly the same number as that endless show's main card.
Ideally, the more important matches this weekend will get proper time to breathe. Rollins vs. Ziggler will already take up 30 minutes, and it'd be nice to see AJ Styles vs. Rusev, Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax and Team Hell No vs. The Bludgeon Brothers get the most minutes outside that.
That'll mean bouts like Bálor vs. Corbin, just as one example, need to be brief. There's absolutely no good reason why a match like that, one that's functional at best, needs to be out there for any longer than 10 minutes curtain to curtain.
