WWE Extreme Rules 2020: 10 Things That Must Happen
7. The 'Unsanctioned' Match Happens Here
Bitching about brevity in WWE isn't wise, but there's a sense that Extreme Rules could do with another match or two. There are few better candidates than the promised 'Unsanctioned' fight between Randy Orton and Big Show that's scheduled 24 hours after the pay-per-view on Raw.
Why wait?
Sure, Orton vs. Show might lure some more viewers in on USA, but that's not guaranteed. Besides, it feels kinda' odd to have a pay-per-view hinging on violence and then promote an 'Unsanctioned' bout the very next night. If this is blatantly designed to establish Randy as the next contender for Drew McIntyre's WWE Title (which it must be), then have it on pay-per-view.
Orton has been tremendous as a cold, calculating heel snake again. WWE should book him to punt Show in the skull, stare down the camera and then challenge McIntyre for the belt on Raw. Nobody believes Dolph is winning anyway.
