WWE officials are reportedly "furious" at AEW founder and president Tony Khan for mocking the market leaders' recent decision to move Money In The Bank 2022 to a smaller venue.

This is according to Bryan Alvarez, who reported as much on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. There is no word on which officials, specifically, were upset at Khan's remarks.

With around 18,000 tickets distributed for the 2 July premium live event, WWE moved MITB out of the 60,000-seater Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada and into the city's MGM Grand Garden Arena On Thursday. Although existing ticket-holders have been refunded (and will be given the first chance to buy seats at the MGM), it is believed the smaller building will be calibrated for only 12,000 attendees. This means people who had already purchased tickets for Allegiant inevitably missing out.

Khan commented on the news on Friday, tweeting that he, personally, had broken the news to UFC president Dana White:-

UFC 276 is also due to take place in Las Vegas on 2 July, clashing with Money In The Bank. Khan's second tweet on the matter addressed this directly:-

AEW holds its own pay-per-view, Double Or Nothing, in Las Vegas tonight.
