WWE Glasgow Live Review - 10 Interesting Observations You Need To Know
9. The Divas Don't Get Much Time (Even On House Shows)
There's been so much talk over the past few months about how the fairer gender are treated within World Wrestling Entertainment. She may be gone from the company now, but the words of AJ Lee towards Stephanie McMahon on social media - calling her then-boss out for her hypocritical attitude towards women's rights when the Divas are treated poorly - are still ringing fresh in WWE's ears. WWE responded to the criticism by featuring the Divas more heavily on their official website, and having multiple female segments throughout their shows, at least briefly. One major problem remains, however, and it's something WWE simply can't seem to get away from, they really don't see the Divas are anything other than a distraction in between important bouts. Even in Glasgow, The Bella Twins faced Paige and Naomi in a short tag-team match, one which flashed past without much notice. Let's be honest, Naomi is a poor substitute for AJ Lee, but it's startling that even on non-televised live events, the females aren't given much time to work with. It stands out like a sore thumb, and in Glasgow, this Divas contest was placed just after a super-heated John Cena vs. Rusev collision, so it was fighting uphill to begin with.
