Then: The odd couple tandem of Daniel Bryan and Hornswoggle tossed then-Revival man Dash Wilder out of the 50-man Rumble back in 2018. In total, the tag-teamer lasted less than 90 seconds in the match. Man, what was up with all of these quickfire eliminations in the GRR? It cost WWE a fortune to fly guys out to Saudi Arabia just to burn through them so quickly.

Dash's mantra might've been, "No Flips Just Fists", but he was doing some flipping - flipping out of the ring. It probably took Wilder longer to walk back up the ramp to the curtain than it did to wrestle, and that can't have been a satisfying experience for somebody who loves lengthy matches.

This was The Revival's lot in WWE by 2018, right enough. They were not a Vince McMahon priority.

Now: AEW has been far kinder to the redubbed Cash Wheeler than WWE ever was post-NXT. Main roster life didn't pan out for the future FTR, but they've since been able to rally and become celebrated 'Top Guys' under Tony Khan. Jumping to AEW made sense after being cut by WWE in April 2020. It really didn't take FTR long to bed in on Dynamite.

August 2023 brought drama to Cash's door by way of charges for aggravated assault with a firearm, but those charges were later dropped the following year. Inside the ring, things have been smooth for Wheeler in AEW. He's cosier in the company than he looked on WWE's side.

Weirdly, FTR are exactly the kind of duo WWE need on Raw or SmackDown to help pad out the doubles divisions.
