WWE Hall Of Fame 2014: 10 Candidates For Induction

7. Magnum T.A

Magnum T.A. seemed to have it all. He had charisma, natural athletic abilities and a sweet mustache which made him look vaguely like Tom Selleck from afar (hence the Magnum P.I. like name). He was destined to become a star, but a car accident cut his career incredibly short. Instead of potentially holding the NWA Heavyweight Title and becoming a star in WCW or the WWF, he was done with wrestling at the age of 27. We're only left to wonder how good he could have become. In the past, WWE seems to induct some wrestlers based on the location of that year's WrestleMania. Just last year, Booker T, Mick Foley, Bruno Sammartino and Donald Trump were inducted with all having strong ties to the area. You would expect at least one prominent Mid-South wrestler to make it in this year. Despite the shortened career, Magnum did have success in the UWF and the NWA by capturing singles gold. He was apparently on track to becoming the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, but it wasn't meant to be. Who knows how far he could have rose. Can you induct someone into the Hall of Fame based on potential? That's what we may find out soon.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
