With Paige recently announcing that she'll be departing WWE when her contract expires on 7 July, Booker T believes that the Anti-Diva will be back in action "very, very soon".

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast (via Sportskeeda), the five-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion discussed how he expects to see Paige resuming her in-ring career sooner rather than later.

"I'm sure she's going to be highly sought-after. Paige is a one of a kind. She really is, she really is one of a kind. Paige is going to be back inside the squared circle very, very soon. I don't have any inside information, I just know how much she loves the business. I know how much her family loves the business, and how connected they are to the love of this game."

Booker added:

"I don't think it's too late for Paige. Sometimes with injuries, one doctor may tell you you can't do it, and then you go to another doctor right across the street and they say, 'You're fine, you're good to go'. I was told his myself."

For those who may have missed it, Paige took to social media on 10 June to announce that WWE will not be renewing her contract when it expires on 7 July. While the inaugural NXT Women's Champion did explain how this exit was entirely WWE's decision, she had nothing but positive things to say about the company and, in particular, how they looked after her after the injury issues that brought a premature end to her in-ring career.

Still only 29 years of age, Paige has previously talked up how she's eager to wrestle again, with her citing the likes of Edge and Bryan Danielson as inspirations in how they were able to return to the squared circle after being forced to retire.

As it stands, the Brit's last match was in December 2017, where she teamed with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to battle Sasha Banks, Bayley and Mickie James at a live event. Paige would formally announce her in-ring retirement the night after WrestleMania 34 due to neck issues, and she would then serve as the SmackDown General Manager and later manage the Kabuki Warriors.
