With Raw and SmackDown each having their own women's division, there are a lot of new openings for female talent to join the company. One of the names being looked at to sign is Alexxis Nevaeh, who is the wife of Eddie Edwards

Nevaeh attended a New England Pro Wrestling Academy tryout session, and seems to have impressed William Regal and Oney Lorcan, who were in attendance scouting talent.

While she may be a lesser known name, compared to some developmental talent with time spent in SHIMMER or Shine wrestling, she has battled many of the best women talent not with WWE and TNA over the past decade on the independent scene. PWI also had her ranked as #46 of the top 50 best female singles competitors in 2012

Perhaps her highest profile appearances on a national scene were losing to Awesome Kong on Impact in 2008 (as Mercedes Steele), and taking on Madison Rayne at TNA's Knockouts Knockdown 3, again coming up short.

Still, this is a good move, in that WWE badly needs more women wrestlers. Raw and SmackDown only have about half a dozen competitors in each division, and NXT really only has Asuka and Ember Moon ready for a jump to the main roster.

It's a bit surprising that due to her relationship with Edwards, that she wasn't given a few more tryouts with TNA, but it's cool to see someone who has spent so much time in the business finally getting that big opportunity.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW.
