WWE Invasion 2001: 5 Awesome Things And 5 That Sucked

3. The Six Man Tag Was Rushed And Boring

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzKKtzWk5WQ Look at the lineup in the six man tag. Representing WWE was Big Show, Billy Gunn & Albert while the Alliance side was made up of WCW guys Shawn Stasiak, Kanyon & Hugh Morrus. Gunn was a veteran in WWE by this point although "The One" was a terrible nickname for him. Show was still only in his second year in WWE and Albert was also pretty new. He was actually the IC Champion at the time too, which was a pretty forgettable reign. At least JR was there to tell us how big his head was. He loved mentioning that all the time. The WCW side had some talent since Kanyon was a very talented worker. Morrus was pretty good for a power guy. Stasiak was somebody that WWE had high hopes for, but he never really developed into the star that they thought he would be. It was short match that went about five minutes. The ref lost control, Stasiak hit a reverse DDT on Gunn and went for a cover even though Morrus was the legal guy in the ring. That was a mistake on his part. He realized he should leave, Morrus got the pin and the Alliance won the match. When it was over, Big Show gave two Chokeslams and the Alley Oop to help WWE's team look strong. Too bad it was a bad match.
