WWE King & Queen Of The Ring 2024: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

4. WWE Pivots On Title Business

Initially, it looked like Cody Rhodes vs. Logan Paul was going to be a proper 'Title vs. Title' effort. That'd mean both Cody's WWE and Logan's United States Titles would've been on the line for their match, but management changed their minds and had LP weasel out of putting his belt up for grabs.

Not so fast, says Nick Aldis!

The SmackDown GM was visibly irked by Paul's behaviour on TV last week, so another pivot could be on the cards. It'd be pro wrestling 101 if Aldis marched out before the bout started and said: 'Oh yeah, that US Title is involved too'. Basic stuff, right? Yes, but WWE shouldn't keep changing their minds over and over again.

It's important to honour stipulations when they're locked in on TV during the build up to PLEs. The exception here is if changing improves a match or story. Sacrificing Logan's United States Title run doesn't qualify as one of those exceptions. It really, really doesn't.
