WWE Night Of Champions: 10 Hidden Gem Matches You Must See

4. Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler (2009)

By 2009, Rey Mysterio had noticeably slowed as an in-ring performer. The masked man's knees were giving him legitimate problems, making it difficult to work the fast-paced, high-flying style he was well known for. Choosing ideal opponents for the guy therefore became more tricky, but WWE cleverly positioned him opposite Dolph Ziggler. A larger man than Rey, it was nonetheless believable that the diminutive Mexican star could bump Ziggler around during matches. That proved the case at Night Of Champions 2009, when the pair met for Mysterio's WWE Intercontinental Title. Even though the bout fell in the slot just before the Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk main event, it's not often recalled by fans. Incredibly, Ziggler vs. Rey was actually several minutes longer than the World Heavyweight Title match between Punk and Hardy. There's talk that Rey Mysterio could make a return to WWE, even though he'd surely be more limited than ever before as a worker. This match is evidence that even with physical limitations, he can still be very valuable.
