WWE Night Of Champions 2025: 8 Things That Must Happen

1. R-Truth Attacks Cena Post-Match

In a perfect world, The Rock would show up soon with a microphone and add proper context to how he convinced John Cena to go rogue back in March. The fact WWE hasn't managed to do that, or had Cena even really mention the 'Final Boss' at all, is baffling. Somewhere in the middle of the mostly messy/sometimes fun heel Cena stuff, R-Truth has been fired then brought back quickly with a new edge due to fan demand.

WWE has already let that start to fizzle out, regrettably. For example, Truth looked like a total afterthought on last week’s episode of SmackDown, and that’s a problem. However, the company can present him as somebody who refuses to go away if he ambushes Cena post-match on Saturday. They have to do something to keep Ron Killings involved, because his much-hyped return is starting to look like a book with one chapter already.

Who knows? Maybe he can come out to The Rock's 'Final Boss' theme to confuse John, then grab the mic and say: "I'm your real final boss, son!". That'd give Killings something to do, and it'd present him as somebody who won't quit until John admits he was in the wrong. If handled correctly, this Truth rebirth could play a part in Cena's turn back to babyface.

Another attack, almost like Truth is trying to exorcise John's demons by physical force, would be a neat moment at Night Of Champions. It isn't anything especially new, obviously, but it'd make up for the travesty that was Truth on the 20 June SmackDown.
