WWE Night Of Champions Results: 10 Things We Learned

4. WWE Are Serious About Female Revolution

Reading fan comments in the lead up to Night Of Champions, it became clear that many felt it was a must for Charlotte to win the WWE Divas Title. During her match against Nikki Bella, that's exactly what she went on to do, and it felt like a hugely emotional moment for the new champion. In many ways, it legitimised WWE's claims of a 'female revolution'. In order to make the newer crop of women look like a serious threat, the creative team had to book one of them to win the title. Charlotte had emerged as the leading candidate, and it seems she may now go on to feud with Sasha Banks. If that doesn't transpire, there's no reason why she can't grant Bella a rematch for the title. At least, for the first time in a while, there are good options for the Diva division. Charlotte's win over Nikki Bella went close to 13 minutes, making it longer than average for a WWE Diva match. That shoes the faith the company have in the women nowadays, and bodes well for the future. Perhaps the best thing now would be to follow up Bella's lengthy reign with another, solidifying the champion as the best.
