The match between John Cena and Roman Reigns at No Mercy won't have changed opinions on the latter. To those who despise everything Reigns stands for and believe he is just a manufactured update of Cena, the outcome was just another reason to boo. That doesn't mean it wasn't the right call in the long run though.

Think about it for a second: Cena has a busier-than-ever schedule outside WWE these days, and he's unlikely to be around until WrestleMania season kicks into gear at the Royal Rumble. Therefore, it was smart to have Reigns (who definitely will be around full-time) go over on Sunday night.

The finish wasn't all WWE got right with Cena vs. Reigns, and it wasn't the only positive coming out of No Mercy either. The pay-per-view wasn't perfect, not by any stretch of the imagination, but even the show's low points had some silver lining.
