WWE NXT: 10 Best Non-Indy Wrestlers

9. Bull Dempsey

Formerly known as "The Last of a Dying Breed" Bull started his days in NXT as a generic monster heel. Squashing opponents with an Oklahoma Slam and Diving Headbutt combo, he certainly looked imposing enough, but mostly just existed to fill a role.

He was soon placed in a big man feud with Baron Corbin, who defeated him in every match, far too easily. Things were not looking good for Bull.

However he must have supporters high up, as he managed to retain a spot on the roster and has always featured in some significant match or angle over the last year. The fans also showed him love with their "Bull!" chants. Really, you can't hear his entrance theme without wanting to chant along.

Earlier this Summer he began an angle where his weight was becoming an embarrassment and he was forced to get in shape or lose his job. So began a series of vignettes that saw him getting "Bullfit". I'm not a fan of the gimmick myself, but the Full Sail fans definitely dig it.

And at the end of the day, it's whatever connects with the fans that matters. If this works out for him then good on him, I say.

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
