Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon's feud continues in earnest, as 2017 apparently never ended. KO cut a withering promo on the boss' son last week, blaming him for the company's many ills, and their beef carried on last night courtesy of two stunners bookeneding SmackDown.

Tensions look set to endure into SummerSlam then, and as we've seen this configuration on a few occasions previously, WWE are apparently planning a special stipulation for the pair's potential blow-off at the August pay-per-view.

According ProSportsExtra's Brad Shepard, the two will meet in a steel cage match, echoing the Hell in a Cell bout they contested at 2017's event of the same name:

SummerSlam is set for 11 August from Toronto's Scotiabank Arena. At present, three matches have already been confirmed for the show. Raw Women's champ Becky Lynch will meet Natalya, her SmackDown counterpart Bayley takes on Ember Moon - as announced on last night's show - and newly crowned Universal Champion Brock Lesnar defends his prize once more against Seth Rollins.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
