WWE's old-school fans are in for a retro treat on the road post-WrestleMania 38.

WWE could be bringing the old Saturday Night's Main Event format back to TV in 2022.

The company has advertised SNME branding for several post-WrestleMania 38 house shows on 23 and 30 April in Alabama and Florida. Currently, according to PWInsider, there are no plans to air these events on Peacock/WWE Network.

That could change though.

The website did note that incorrect rumours were doing the rounds about WWE filming both house shows for future use. That's not the case, but it certainly doesn't mean they won't alter plans closer to the time and end up bringing cameras with them to capture footage.

WWE announced both events using graphics showing Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch next to an updated Saturday Night's Main Event logo. The show's last TV run came back in July 2008 - that one hour special aired on NBC.

This, for those keeping score at home, will be SNME XXXVII and XXXVIII respectively. No matches have been announced for either card as of yet, but it's believed both will carry some sort of "WrestleMania Revenge" branding once that weekender is out of the way in early-April.
