9. WrestleMania 14 vs. Ken Shamrock

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PKWMo4hg1Y I feel bad that I can't rate this match higher because I really loved The Rock's feud with Shamrock over the IC Title. Rock was the cocky heel champion that was really getting over big with his Rock persona while Shamrock was the kind of aggressive face that was really popular in the Attitude Era. Their match at Royal Rumble 1998 was much better than this one, but it was also the setup for this. The stipulation they had here was that if Rock got disqualified he would lose the IC Title. This match only went about five minutes with Shamrock absolutely destroying Rock and winning the IC Title via submission with the Ankle Lock. The problem was that after the match was over, Shamrock put Rock in the hold again and even attacked referees that were clearly indy wrestlers. The point was that Shamrock ended up getting disqualified, so Rock retained it all the way until SummerSlam of that 1998. It was more of an angle than a match. The angle was great because it put over Shamrock's aggression while it also made Rock look like a star because he was able to find ways to retain his title. I really enjoyed this feud.
