WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (April 21)
2. No Tag Title Match At Payback?
This week's Raw featured both semifinal matches in the WWE Tag Team Championship number one contenders' tournament. First, Enzo and Big Cass beat The Dudley Boyz to advance to the finals, and then, The Vaudevillains scored a clean victory over The Usos to get their spot.
Neither of those outcomes was particularly surprising - the big shock was the announcement that the finals of the tournament are scheduled to take place at Payback. Effectively, that means a match to determine the number one contenders to the Tag Team Titles is going to preempt an actual match for the titles. It seems counterintuitive, particularly given the fact that this will be the third major show in four without a Tag Team Championship defense.
Hopefully, at the very least, The New Day feature on the Payback card in some in-ring fashion. Given that the show has been robbed of an Enzo and Cass-Dudley Boyz showdown, it doesn't also need to miss out on some action from WWE's hottest act.
