WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (April 21)
1. Winners Win
WWE closed out Raw with a very good match between Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose. The bout was reminiscent of their battles over the Intercontinental Championship a few months back, and once again, Ambrose got the win.
Ambrose's victory was a little surprising, given the fact that Chris Jericho beat Sami Zayn earlier in the evening. Zayn and Owens are wrestling at Payback, as are Jericho and Ambrose, but they switched opponents tonight, and the fact that both Jericho and Ambrose went over establishes a definite hierarchy in the PPV card. Both of those men won, sending the subtle (or not-so-subtle) message that they're further up the pecking order than Zayn and Owens, and their match is more important. To hammer that home, Jericho laid Ambrose out with a Codebreaker to end the show.
No disrespect intended to Jericho and Ambrose, and I'm sure their Payback match will be great, but I'm personally looking forward to a bout that could potentially end a year and a half-long feud more than two guys fighting over a fake talk show. It's too bad WWE couldn't treat the two matches with equal regard.
