Receiving yet another crack at regaining the belts they lost on the Roadblock: End Of The Line pay-per-view, The New Day faced Sheamus and Cesaro in Raw's opening bout. Strangely, something seemed a little off about Cesaro's performance, the 'Swiss Superman' wasn't as silky smooth in the ring as fans are accustomed to.

Setting up for a cool spot, Sheamus hit his Irish Curse Backbreaker on Xavier Woods. Holding the babyface in position, Sheamus then watched Cesaro sail off the top rope. Even though his partner was supposed to hit a knee drop on Woods, Cesaro clocked Sheamus with his right leg more than he did the New Day member.

Afterwards, the announcers clearly didn't know how to explain what had happened. Cutting away, the cameras then showed Sheamus looking a tad perplexed at ringside. At no point did the commentary team state that Cesaro had effectively hit his own partner with an errant knee.

Later in the match, Cesaro also shoulder barged Sheamus to break up a pin, rather than making contact with his opponent.
