WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (Mar 7th)

5. Y Not AJ?

Y2AJ challenged The New Day for the WWE Tag Team Titles in what was the best Raw match in a long, long time. There were plenty of believable near-falls and submission teases, and in the end, Big E caught Jericho with The Big Ending and pinned him. The champions retained their belts. After the bout, Styles helped Jericho to his feet, but Y2J turned on his partner, hitting him with three Codebreakers. After that, Jericho took a Y2AJ shirt (sorry if you bought one of those), rolled it up, and stuck it down AJ's throat. Jericho's a heel now, and presumably, they're heading for one final showdown at WrestleMania. That match will be great, but it's hard to think that WWE didn't miss an opportunity by not turning AJ instead. Yes, he's hugely popular, but he proved in New Japan that he can be a great heel, which WWE really needs right now. Men like Bray Wyatt, Kevin Owens, and Sheamus have been damaged to the point where they won't make good opponents for new WWE Champion Roman Reigns after the show of shows. Styles, however, could have been the perfect post-'Mania contender.
