2. Paul Heyman Tried His Best To Start A Goldberg Chant

Attending the University Of Minnesota, Brock Lesnar shares a kinship with the state. Appearing on Raw to address the words of Bill Goldberg last week, Lesnar was flanked by his mouthpiece Paul Heyman. Contrary to how WWE presented the segment before it happened, it was Heyman who did all of the talking.

Telling the live crowd that chants for Goldberg were starting to annoy his client, Heyman then expected booming chants of the former WCW star's name to reverberate around the arena. Aside from a small pocket of fans repeating Goldberg's name, that didn't happen. Instead, there were loud and very-much audible chants of 'Suplex City'.

Not one to be flustered easily, Paul Heyman nonetheless wasn't getting what he wanted from the audience in attendance. Trying again (much as Chris Jericho had done to open the broadcast), Heyman repeated that Goldberg chants infuriated Lesnar and then tried to say that even 'Suplex City' ones angered him.

Fans were having none of it, cheering for Brock as though he was a homecoming hero. That doesn't fit well with the narrative WWE clearly want to spin for Survivor Series, casting Goldberg as the returning veteran who wants one more crack at the most dangerous animal on the landscape.
