WWE RAW 30/10/13 Review

Opening Segment: CM Punk, Brad Maddox and Big E Langston

Cm Punk Best

CM Punk riles up the crowd, bad-mouths the Paul Heyman guys and then requests an outlet for his anger. Brad Maddox replies by telling him he can't have Heyman or his crew. Big E Langston's music then interrupts, as Big E lets him know that he is the guy, before attacking him. CM Punk reverses the beat-down and a match is started.

Rating: 6/10

Review: A simple but efficient way to open the show. CM Punk has the ability to get any crowd chanting his name and feeding out of the palm of his hand and Biloxi, Mississippi were no different. This rivalry is still showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to quality microphone work. The matches in places have been iffy, but the general rivalry is still a great watch, and this promo kept the crowd cheering for Punk to get hold of Heyman.

Brad Maddox has essentially become useless as even on-screen, Triple H and Stephanie set up most of the RAW and PPV matches. He has great talents on the microphone and is favoured in the eyes of Triple H, so hopefully he will either become more relevant on-screen or will move to managing talent. Either way, his involvement in this segment was pointless, as Big E Langston interrupted anyway and beat down Punk.

Langston has lost his way since being split from AJ Lee, and this was seemingly just a filler part, as he has a similar shape and build to Ryback, but Langston is talented and hopefully he can find his way onto our screens by destroying his way to the United States Title (he would be a great person to have on-side in the struggle against the HHH Corporation).
