WWE Raw Gallery: 25 Years Of Iconic Monday Nights

9. 2009 - Ain't That A Kick In The Head

The Rock CM Punk
WWE

Dateline: 19th January, 2009

Vince McMahon literally served his own head up to Kevin Owens in 2017 in an act far more selfless than his stupid kids did for 'KO' during the very same feud. It wasn't his first time.

Randy Orton was still in need of topline aura in 2009 after a relentless procession of false dawns, and nothing aided his vicious new aesthetic quite as much as nearly detaching a then-63-year old's skull with an almighty hoof.

Though lost to highlights packages due to the company's renewed uncomfortableness with headshots, the visual remains hugely evocative for those that saw it then and seek it out now. McMahon's head wobbling in slow motion is legitimately frightening, despite the stardust it temporarily sprinkled on 'The Viper'.
