WWE Raw Results 2/7/12 - AJ Puts Daniel Bryan & CM Punk Through Table

Last night's WWE Raw SuperShow from Laredo, Texas. Michael Cole hypes that this is episode 997 of RAW and that tonight Teddy Long is the temporary General Manager and has set the main event as CM Punk & John Cena vs Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho. The Money in the Bank briefcase hangs above the ring as John Cena's music hits. He comes out to talk about last week. He thanked Chris Jericho and thanked Big Show. Jericho was right that Cena needed to prepare for Money in the Bank and that anything can happen in that match environment. Cena says Big Show gave him a crash course in education when he attacked him last week. Cena says he understands now what will happen at Money in the Bank. He says two things will happen - Big Show will lose and Cena will grab the contract, cash it in and become the next WWE Champion. Daniel Bryan comes out chanting "YES!" all the way to the ring. He says he didn't even know Cena was out there. He says Cena is irrelevant to him because Bryan is going to defeat CM Punk at Money in the Bank and become the new WWE Champion. Bryan says if Cena manages to get the briefcase he would be the first Superstar ever to cash in his contract and lose. CM Punk heads to the ring and he gets the fans to chant "YES" for disagreeing with Bryan. Bryan begins for one fan to have an original thought instead of stealing his. Punk brings up AJ and Bryan's former girlfriend being the special guest referee for the Money in the Bank WWE Title match. Punk says Bryan's ex will count his shoulders down on the mat. Punk says if Cena wins Money in the Bank, it will come down to just to them. Chris Jericho comes out. Punk calls him a wannabe. Jericho says Punk stole Y2J's ideas. Punk calls him Bon Jovi. Then Bryan and Jericho have words with Jericho bringing back his "shut the hell up" catch phrase and also welcomes us to "Raw is Jericho" and that nobody in the ring "will ever, ever be the same again, after tonight". Jericho says he invented Money in the Bank and he's going to win it. Out comes Kane. He grabs Jericho's mic but before he can speak he is interrupted by Big Show's music. Cena readies for a fight but is attacked from behind by Daniel Bryan. Jericho and Kane go at it while Punk drops Bryan with a kick. Punk goes down and Kane takes Jericho into the corner whilst Show goes at it with Cena. Show ends up being the only one not laid out in this destruction and he walks away by leaving up the ramp. 1) Cody Rhodes, David Otunga, Titus O'Neil & Darren Young defeated WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian, WWE United States Champion Santino Marella and WWE Tag Team Champions R-Truth & Kofi Kingston. The finish came when Brodus Clay's music hits and he was at ringside, rolling David Otunga back into the ring when he fell out and was hit by the Cobra from Santino for the win. Post-match Christian lays out Otunga with the Killswitch. Clay then nails a big splash on him. Naomi, Cameron and some kids start dancing in the ring. Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez are backstage talking to Teddy and says he earned a World Title shot after WrestleMania but hasn't had a 1-1 shot yet. Teddy says he doesn't think Rio deserves it but the WWE Board of Directors have named him the number 1 contender and he will face Sheamus for the World Title at WWE Money in the Bank. Teddy says he may not have any booking power for the pay-per-view but he has a match up next. 2) Alberto Del Rio vs Sin Cara when to a no-contest when Del Rio beat up Cara before the bell rang. He applied the cross armbreaker on him and officials tried to get Del Rio to break up the hold and he eventually let go. Crowd chanting something in Spanish at Del Rio as the officials looked over Sin Cara. AJ Lee is backstage when Daniel Bryan walks up and confesses that he has always cared about her. He says he was frustrated with himself for messing things up and he didn't know how to react. Bryan says he's sorry and hands her a rose. AJ says she's sure it has nothing to do with the fact that she is the special guest referee at Money in the Bank. AJ says Bryan doesn't care about her and never did. She can't wait to win her match tonight and run into the arms of the man who everyone sees as her soul mate. She bites off the rose and spits it out before walking backstage. Paul Heyman is showing preparing to speak live via satellite. They show footage of Triple H laying out Paul Heyman on RAW a few weeks ago. Heyman is live and says Lesnar has made a decision regarding Triple H's SummerSlam challenge. Heyman says Lesnar will personally deliver his message straight to Triple H's face at the 1,000th RAW. Heyman says if Lesnar accepts, Triple H's in-ring career will be over. It won't be a match but a mercy killing. 3) AJ Lee & World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus defeated Vickie Guerrero & Dolph Ziggler in a mixed tag match. Finish came when Sheamus laid out Ziggler with the Brogue Kick and AJ hit the Shining Wizard on Guerrero for the win. AJ Lee runs around chanting "YES!" and runs straight to the back looking for CM Punk. She finds him but he is on the phone. He tells her to hang on and she gets mad for a second. Punk hangs up and says he was on the phone with his sister. She asks if he saw the match and he says no because he was on the phone and didn't know she was having a match. She says she is upset that he wasn't paying attention to her. She walks off upset and Punk just shrugs his shoulders. 4) Heath Slater defeated "WWE Legend" Doink The Clown with the neckbreaker out of nowhere in a short squash. The one man band actually gets a win. Post-match whilst Slater is celebrating, Diamond Dallas Page's music hits and he comes out to the ring with a huge pop. DDP does the "BANG!" as the fan chants his name but Slater mocks him. DDP pulls in Slater for hug but gives him the Diamond Cut. DDP slaps hands with the fans and leaves to another pop. 5) Big Show defeated Kane in a No DQ match when Show chokeslams Kane on the chair for the win in a clean win. Teddy Long runs into Eve Torres backstage. She starts kissing up to him and he tells her to save the drama s he's not interested. Teddy puts a big name tag on her and walks off laughing. Eve tears it up and walks up to AJ, who is also upset. Eve says AJ's been busy lately, taking a leaf out of her book. Eve tells her to leave the mind games to grown ups and do what little goes do best - sit in the corner and cry. AJ says Eve will do anything for attention. AJ asks what she is going to do now John Laurinaitis is gone, who is she going to brown nose next? AJ says she's going to show Eve and everyone else how to get attention. 6) Tyson Kidd defeated Tensai with a roll-up out of nowhere. Tensai definitely being punished for his gimmick not getting over but on the flip side it's a huge win and push for Kidd. Tensai takes out his frustrations on Sakamoto and beats him up again. Chris Jericho is backstage when Daniel Bryan walks up. Bryan hopes he isn't wearing that stupid light jacket to the ring. Jericho puts down Bryan's yes jacket and stupid beard. Bryan chants "YES!" and Jericho tells him to never say that again. Tyson Kidd is backstage when Josh Matthews interviews him looking for a comment on his victory. Kidd says he is on top of the world but then Tensai attacks him from behind and into the lockers, leaving him lying on the ground. 7) Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan vs WWE Champion CM Punk and John Cena goes to a no-contest. AJ Lee's music hits mid-way through the match and skips around the ring but she looks upset because nobody is paying attention to her. She gets up on the apron and they still didn't pay any attention to her. She grabs a table from under the ring and and climbs to the top of the turnbuckle threatening to jump off onto the table she setup. Bryan begs her not too and tells her to get down. Punk climbs up and tells her to get down. She grabs him and kisses him before she pushes Punk down onto Bryan and they both crash through the table. AJ looks down from the top of the turnbuckle and starts laughing. She starts chanting "YES!" and smiles as RAW goes off the air.
