4. John Cena: Caught In The Middle
Contract signings on wrestling television rarely go according to plan, and this week the RAW show opened with John Cena and Daniel Bryan in the ring, finalizing the paperwork for their bout at SummerSlam. The crowd at last night event at The University of Texas was ON FIRE for Daniel Bryan, and the result had Cena taking a back seat to Bryan's overwhelming popularity. I, for one, don't have the answer for John Cena's character troubles. He is the WWE Champion...but he is starting to feel like a relative mid-carder. This upcoming SummerSlam match with Daniel Bryan feels like a huge career boost for Bryan...but for Cena, it just feels like another match. John Cena is in a place right now that's not entirely his fault, as WWE Creative dropped the ball with both prior Cena programs involving Mark Henry and Ryback. I hope Cena and Bryan tear the house down at Summerslam, but I cannot imagine Cena dropping the title this soon.
