WWE RAW Review 7/22/2013: 5 Things We Learned

3. The WWE Tag Team Championship: Now Irrelevant?

tag Putting the tag team titles on Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns was the right call. All three members of The Shield have been fantastic since their debut, and they are deserving of their title. But the WWE needs to do more to establish all 3 as credible champions, and right now Creative is just burying the Tag Team Championship. If Rollins and Reigns are going to continue as champs AND become credible title holders, they need to not only defend the tag team titles on both RAW and SmackDown every week, while trying to establish a feud with another viable team. And that's also something the WWE lacks right now - another well-established tag team. Since the demise of Team Hell No, the Uso's and the Primetime Players have not really been given a decent chance to have a real go against the Champs in regular fashion, and after last night's RAW it seems like it will not happen. Another 6 man tag match appears to be on the horizon for The Shield come SummerSlam, and the Tag Team Championship will continue to suffer for another month.
