WWE Raw Review: A Show That Was Better Than Wrestlemania

RANDY ORTON VS SHEAMUS AKA NO ONE CARES ABOUT THIS MATCH This match is when the New Jersey crowd got to shine. Nobody cared about this match mainly because the premise is so bad. Randy Orton and Sheamus both want to beat down Big Show so they have a match to see who gets to beat him down. Why not just make it a handicap match and let them both take him out? The crowd let this match have it. Every chant imaginably broke out including an RVD chant, a JBL chant, HBK chants (they liked chanting initials), and by the end of this match, they were chanting for cotton candy, Randy Savage, and even Michael Cole. This match was awful, probably because the crowd took a huge dump on it. Randy Orton was visibly irritated by the crowd€™s complete lack of interest in the match. The match ended in a no contest when Big Show came to the ring and took out both guys. This resulted in Thank You Big Show chants. This is where my grievance with the crowd is. I know that they were having fun or whatever, but both Orton and Sheamus were out there to perform. You don€™t have to like it but it is little more than a tad disrespectful to chant completely stupid things just to be clever. I enjoyed it for the first half of the match, but by the 10th minute of chanting, it became old. I wasn€™t a huge fan of the crowd fellating themselves with €œWE ARE AWESOME€ chants. I can€™t be too mad at them though, they did make the match entertaining, even if it did become annoying. FANDANGO VS KOFI KINGSTON All that stuff I just said about the crowd, take it with a grain of salt because they may have just turned Fandango into a made guy in the WWE. And I am fine with that. The New Jersey crowd decide to take it upon themselves to hum along with Fandango€™s entrance theme. It€™s something so simple, and so stupid, that it is bound to catch on. Congrats, Johnny Curtis, you just got made. Unless the WWE changes your entrance theme 14 times and ruins this. The match against Kofi never really happened because Chris Jericho ran down and attacked Fandango, furthering their feud. The crowd was happy to see Jericho and chanted Lionheart at him. I€™m really liking this Fandango/Jericho feud. Jericho has no problem putting other guys over and can really help Fandango out as he starts to build a fanbase.
