This WWE Hall of Famer was released by the company on Friday.

Sue Aitchison Warrior Award
WWE

In some surprising news, Sue Aitchison is no longer with WWE.

As first reported by PWInsider, Aitchison was released by WWE on Friday, with her most recently serving as the company's Senior Director of Talent Relations. Sue was WWE's longest-serving employee, having been with the organisation as far back as 1986.

This release is one that's been met with shock by many in WWE, with Sue Aitchison a pivotal player in WWE's community outreach work and the company's relationship with Make-A-Wish. In fact, Sue was given Make-A-Wish's Chris Greicius Award in both 2006 and 2016.

2019 saw Aitchison inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame with the Warrior Award, as Stephanie McMahon praised her for, amongst other things, "putting smiles on countless families' faces".

The WWE departure of Sue Aitchison is the latest of several such changes, with EVP of Talent Dan Ventrelle and SVP of Athlete I.D. and Development Chris Wilfinger amongst those to have recently departed WWE.
