WWE Reportedly Giving John Cena Full Creative Control At WrestleMania 36

This return means everything to Mr. Hustle, Loyalty, Respect.

John Cena

According to WrestleVotes on Twitter, WWE has agreed to give John Cena full creative control over what he does at WrestleMania 36.

The veteran is currently scheduled to make his latest return on the 28 February episode of SmackDown in his native Boston, and it's expected that he'll kick off his program for Tampa on that show. There are loads of possibilities knocking around for Cena's opponent at 'Mania, including Goldberg, Braun Strowman and even NXT star Matt Riddle.

Those are guesses, and will be until John appears in front of WWE fans again and announces his intentions for the big pirate-themed pay-per-view on 5 April in Florida.

It is interesting that WrestleVotes' report suggests the company didn't have something concrete in mind for Cena before bringing him back. Instead, they're apparently happy to let him decide his own future and watch a motivated part-timer roar back into action.

Cena currently resides in the Tampa area, so there's a chance he's keen to make this 'Mania count. His Hollywood schedule and filming commitments are filling up, so there's no telling how many of these shows John has left in him.
