Despite all of the fantasy booking scenarios involving The Revival, the only true way for this story to end was with Sheamus and Cesaro holding the tag team belts aloft. From the moment Mick Foley put the warring Europeans into a team this victory was inevitable, with the only other real option being frequent losses and returning to feuding with each other, which quite frankly does not need to happen.

The run was bungled somewhat in the run up to the breaking of the record, but the adage 'better late than never' is almost always true. Sheamus and Cesaro can continue their story as champions, as opposed to going back to each other's throats and moving on to a Best Of Forever Series.

With the belts on the Europeans, RAW's tag division suddenly has a whole host of possibilities ahead of it. Sheamus and Cesaro are ostensibly babyfaces working a tweener role, and the crowd are so into Cesaro yet so ambivalent to Sheamus that they duo will put on great matches against both heel and face teams.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
