Sami Zayn is a miracle worker. Braun Strowman is undoubtedly one of the most improved performers in WWE in 2016, but last night was the first time we've seen him work a singles match that lasted longer than a cup of coffee and a couple of biscuits. Strowman and Zayn went to a 10-minute time limit draw, and both men came out looking great.

You can levy complaints against the central portion of the match, and to a degree those complaints would be warranted. Mick Foley wandered out looking like an actual legitimate homeless man, seemingly to throw in the towel for poor Zayn. This predictably led to Zayn continuing the match, and things truly picked up from there.

Strowman still looked somewhat limited, but his interactions with Foley were great and the final stretch saw him running through things like a man possessed. Where do they go from here? Well, Strowman can move towards a dominant Royal Rumble performance, and Zayn surely has a championship belt in his 2017.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
