Well, what a PPV! After the dust had settled, we
finally have a new WWE Champion, and some old favourites made their return via the annual Royal Rumble match as well. Not everyone can steal the show, but these 10 superstars stood out as I watched with anticipation. The people who feature on this list might not have necessarily won the match that they participated in, but they stood out for the TV time they received. 10. The Big Show
The Big Show has been on a roll for the last six months with both in-ring work and promos; he has come across as intense and believable. To see him now and compare him to the ridiculous stage of his career - which on more than one occasion saw him crying last year - is a vast improvement. Last night, Show and Alberto del Rio put on a great match to open the show. There was the drama you usually see with Last Man Standing matches, including one of the best spots I've seen the big man ever involved in; after climbing a beam attached to the set, he grabbed Alberto and proceeded to Chokeslam him off the set through a table. Big Show was able to look relatively strong as he was duct taped to the ropes, and I believe he will be involved in the World Heavyweight Title Chamber Match in 3 weeks time.
