WWE Royal Rumble 2014: 10 Allies Who Will Fall Out

9. Kane And Daniel Bryan

This prediction is based on two assumptions that this fan feels confident making. First, we must assume that Kane will be one of the surprise entrants in the Rumble, as he is not currently listed as a participant. As of this writing (prior to the SmackDown broadcast), there are 20 entrants listed on WWE.com. So we have 10 to play with. Given Kane's recent confrontations with CM Punk, some say that Kane will act on behalf of the Authority to thwart Punk's success. Phase one of messing with Punk came in the form of making him the Number 1 entrant in the Rumble. Though history tells us that the number 1 spot isn't always an indication of failure, it positions Punk to be either a big hero or a dramatic near-miss. Kane's appearance at the Rumble will ensure that the latter comes true. Second, we must assume that Daniel Bryan will be a surprise entrant in this match, a swerve given that he's already booked to face Bray Wyatt in a singles match that night. Bryan has been the fan favourite to win the Rumble (well, to win ANYTHING) for a long time. His absence from this big match will be regarded as a misstep on the part of WWE, putting everyone on the edges of their seats to see if he shows up. Given Kane's role in the Authority, it's very possible that he could also face off against Bryan during the Rumble. Their entertaining history as Team Hell No would definitely inform the way they contend with one another. Will they politely air their grievances, as per Dr. Shelby's therapy? Will they hug it out? Or will Team Hell No dispense with such niceties and FIGHT?
