WWE Royal Rumble 2014: 10 Reasons The Undertaker Might Return

10. Surprise

Undertaker1 WWE are at their absolute best when they are shocking the audience. An Undertaker appearance as an entrant in the rumble would have a major shock factor. This would in turn get people talking on social media and buzzing about the product. Just look what happened when John Cena surprisingly returned in 2008 - it was one of the most memorable spots ever in Rumble history. Taker can cause a similar pop. Given the vast privacy and secrecy around Mark Calaway he is the one guy WWE could get in under the radar. Only Vince McMahon and Calaway really need to know about it. The ease with which WWE could set this up secretly wouldn't be too hard to execute. The fact that no one is really tipping this return to happen right now is perhaps the proof it could be about to happen. There is further evidence that the surprise could be on cards. Why wouldn't WWE have Batista return at the Rumble? It would have made sense when you think about it for fans to have to buy the PPV to see Batista's return. Unless of course another big return is already scheduled in for the Rumble event - Undertaker. The Rumble always boasts surprises and returns, 2014's event would undoubtedly benefit from the shock being Undertaker.
