Everyone's favourite Swiss swinger (admittedly not as PG-friendly a nickname as his new moniker, 'The King of Swing') has found himself at the center of attention lately; first by breaking away from Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter in the Real Americans, then winning the inaugural Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, eliminating The Big Show in a manner similar to how Hulk Hogan beat Andre at Wrestlemania 3, and then finally revealing himself to be the latest 'Paul Heyman Guy' on the following night. Quite the week, you'll agree. Cesaro has been on an upward trajectory for a while, and it was only a matter of time before something high-profile happened to the former U.S. champion, and his recent push only goes to establish that the WWE have big plans ahead for the former rugby player. Despite the huge pop he received at both Wrestlemania and the following Raw, the reaction he got on Smackdown when facing The Big Show was slightly lukewarm, and his alliance as a heel or babyface still seems to be in question. However, once these creases in his character are ironed out, which should be no problem if he continues to feud with ultra-stale Jack Swagger, then Cesaro seems to be a shoe-in for a strong night at the Royal Rumble. Whether he would win two over-the-top type contests in a year is questionable, but if the WWE really do think of Cesaro as one of the future stars of the company, then The King of Swing may well be getting himself a title shot at Wrestlemania 31.
