WWE Royal Rumble 2016: 10 Reasons The Undertaker Will Return

4. To Aid Roman Reigns Against The Authority

It's been revealed that Roman Reigns will be the #1 entry in the 2016 Royal Rumble match. Naturally, this is Vince McMahon and The Authority's way of sticking it to the babyface champion. Not only is his WWE World Heavyweight Title on the line in the bout, but Reigns must outlast 29 other men in order to retain it. The story during the Rumble will revolve around Roman's valiant attempt to walk out of the match with the title still around his waist. Years ago, when McMahon was feuding with Steve Austin, The Undertaker interfered in proceedings. Back at Over The Edge 1998, he helped Austin fight off Vince's troops, helping Stone Cold retain the gold. A similar situation could be booked for the upcoming Rumble. Appearing out of nowhere, The Undertaker could go face-to-face with Reigns in the middle of the ring. Tired and beaten, Reigns would nonetheless attempt to stand up to the legend. Then, all of a sudden, Undertaker would assist his younger peer in cleaning house. Some fans likely wouldn't enjoy such a segment, but it could provide WWE with an ideal distraction and explanation for a Roman Reigns victory.
