WWE Royal Rumble 2016: 5 Reasons To Be Fearful

3. The Undertaker Could Be Used As Fodder In The Match

Given the lack of star power in this year's Royal Rumble, there are rumours that The Undertaker may be used as a surprise entrant. If that happens, it would make for a cool moment, simply because Undertaker hasn't featured in a Rumble for years. However, looking at things from a different perspective, he also must be thrown into the bracket of performers who likely won't win the bout. This would turn 'Taker into cannon fodder during the Rumble, which isn't something to get excited about. It's clear that the man is coming to the end of his career, but it'd be a damn shame for things to fizzle out, which will happen if he is going to simply be just another entrant in the Royal Rumble. The Undertaker is a special character, a once in a lifetime legend that WWE may never have again. He should never be 'just another entrant'. Braun Strowman and The Wyatt Family would be a logical target for Undertaker in the match. Of course, it really depends on what WWE have planned for 'The Deadman' come WrestleMania, and whether or not a proposed singles bout against Strowman goes ahead. Perhaps Undertaker could interject and eliminate Strowman, leading to the opportunity for the heel to extract vengeance further on down the line.
