WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 10 Possible Surprise Entrants

This one is possible for one reason only: WWE have been teasing a match between Shaq and The Big Show on-and-off for a couple of years now, and WrestleMania 33 is rumoured to be the night when it will finally happen. The obvious way to start this program in full would be for one to eliminate the other from the Rumble, similar to O’Neal’s cameo appearance in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at last year’s WrestleMania.

Will it happen? WWE loves some mainstream publicity, and the involvement of Shaq, a basketball legend, would likely generate some interest for them ahead of the big event. The visual of the two seven-footers squaring off is undoubtedly an interesting one, and O’Neal’s genuine athletic ability and obvious fondness for the business would definitely help him along in any potential match. It’s not as if Big Show is currently stuck in any major storyline, so this could give the World’s Largest Athlete his last hurrah before settling into a nice retirement storyline.
