For two years in a row, the winner of the Royal Rumble was booed out of the building for the simple crime of Not Being Daniel Bryan. These reactions led directly into the biggest push of Bryan’s career, which finally climaxed at WrestleMania XXX.

Almost three years on, Bryan has been forced into retirement, very much against his will, but has settled into a role as SmackDown General Manager. However, he has continued to have tensions with his old “mentor”, The Miz. The Intercontinental Champion has continued to mock and belittle Bryan, performing his signature moves in the ring and making demands of his boss.

Will it happen? Although Bryan is not medically cleared to compete in proper singles matches, an entry into the Rumble may not be out of the question.

Picture the scene: Miz has entered number 3 in the match and has managed to sneakily eliminate the first two entrants, perhaps shocking them while they fight each other. He is standing mid-ring, raising his arms in Bryan’s signature “Yes!” pose as the clock counts down. The buzzer hits, and Flight of the Valkyries explodes throughout the arena. Miz looks like he has seen a ghost; Bryan sprints to the ring, kicks the hell out of Miz, and throws him out of the match.

If Bryan can go, this would be a hell of a moment.
