WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 10 Things That Must Happen

2. Goldberg & Brock Lesnar Eliminate One Another

Rumours persist that Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg will lock horns again at WrestleMania 33. Should that be the case, there's little chance the pair will have another two-minute match like they did at Survivor Series last November. Instead, the redo would be painted as Brock's chance to redeem himself.

To a lesser extent, the Royal Rumble has been discussed as such by Paul Heyman. Should Lesnar run through 29 other men, including Goldberg, Heyman will reason that his client has rekindled the flame of form just in time for 'Mania.

There's just one problem: he has to go through the man who embarrassed him in the main event of Survivor Series.

Booking anybody else to eliminate Brock or Goldberg seems silly at this point. The duo must battle fiercely and end up costing one another the chance to headline WrestleMania. Unless WWE have designs on them having a title match on that stage, there's no need to have either man win the Rumble.

If Goldberg hurls Lesnar over the top rope, only for Brock to pull Bill out of the ring from the outside, they could brawl to the back amidst chaos. That represents tremendous build towards 'Mania already.
