WWE Royal Rumble 2017: Ranking 10 Most Likely Winners

8. The Miz

Believe it or not, in a year when AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura debuted in WWE, it's The Miz who has arguably emerged as the company's most compelling character. The former WWE Champion and WrestleMania headliner turned around a five-year-long fall from grace as Intercontinental Champion, and is currently involved in the hottest feud on Raw, Smackdown, or NXT.

Miz has made the Intercontinental Title seem important once again - like a stepping stone to the WWE Championship. Maybe it can serve that function once again, with Miz winning the Rumble to sew up a return to the main event, capping off his career renaissance.

There is, of course, the question as to whom he could face. Unlike many of the men on this list, The Miz has no outstanding issues with a potential WWE World or Universal Champion - and no, Daniel Bryan isn't coming out of retirement. Still, with The Miz delivering the way he has lately, there's plenty of time to start something that "The Most Must-See Champion in WWE History" can make work.
