WWE Royal Rumble 2017: Ranking 10 Most Likely Winners
7. Samoa Joe
If 2015 was the year that Samoa Joe reclaimed his relevance in wrestling, 2016 was the year he took back his spot as the most feared man in the sport. Forget Brock Lesnar and his UFC Heavyweight Title, nobody plays the role of a bad-ass as convincingly as Joe.
All that's left for the former NXT Champion right now is to jump to the main roster and take it by storm, and that can't happen soon enough. There are so many attractive matches for Joe either on Raw or Smackdown, bouts with men like Lesnar and John Cena. That means that Joe needs a huge push right off the bat, and he'll undoubtedly deliver.
Having Joe win the Royal Rumble would make him the quickest debut-to-Rumble winner of all time, in all likelihood (he's doubtful to come up before TakeOver: Toronto), but it would help cement him as a new superstar for the brand. No matter who he ends up facing at WrestleMania - WWE World or Universal Champion, babyface or heel - his opponent will be marked for doom by the "Samoan Submission Machine."
