WWE Royal Rumble 2017: Ranking 10 Most Likely Winners
6. Chris Jericho
As much as wrestling booking ought to be planned out far in advance, things should always be malleable. If someone gets really popular or a hot storyline comes up, allowances need to be made in order to let things play out.
Chris Jericho is currently involved in a partnership with Universal Champion Kevin Owens, and their association has seen Jericho largely relegated to the role of Owens's assistant. There's nothing wrong with that - Jericho is an elder statesman while Owens is in the prime of his career. The two have been incredibly entertaining, though, and one has to imagine that sooner or later, they'll end up on opposite sides of the ring.
The gravity of their match depends on how much fans get into the feud, and if it's a real hit - and if a babyface turn by either man could make him hugely popular - than the Jericho-Owens blowoff could be right for WrestleMania. Y2J could win the Royal Rumble for the first time in his career, and the team could implode on the grandest stage of all.
