WWE Royal Rumble 2018: 10 Worst Possible Outcomes

1. WWE Picks The Wrong Winner Full Stop

Think of the last five Royal Rumble winners for a second, then ponder just how many of those men you really wanted to see win.

Randy Orton, Triple H, Roman Reigns, Batista and John Cena were those winners, and exactly none were greeted with the same giddy levels of excitement as Rey Mysterio in 2006 or even Edge in 2010. Those were Rumble moments, the kind fans can point to and say 'I was there'. Who's going to do that if Baron Corbin wins or we get another repeat winner like Orton?

WWE's booking of the Rumble has taken some sheen from the once-great match in recent years. If the company hope to regain some of that magic, then they need to pick the right person to win both the male and female Rumbles.

Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing if Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn did beat AJ Styles for the WWE Title after all.
