3. Batista Returns

Despite them only vaguely teasing it on SmackDown 1000, WWE do have a big wet rubbery one over doing Triple H vs Batista at WrestleMania 35. On a card that will likely be full of matches the fans genuinely want to see, some concession needs to be made for Vince's "thing" of just having two middle-aged lumps hit each other.

Crucially though, when Big Dave spoke to Ground-Breaking International Jet-Set Heartthrob Wrestling Journalist Me last year, he said he'd be more than open to a return provided things were "right".

From there the rumours have spiralled about WWE approaching him when his schedule would allow, and the groundwork seemed to be put in place during his little face off with Triple H on SmackDown. A few things to look at here, namely that he said he would need to find a sufficient gap in his filming schedule and a quick scan of IMBD tells you that all of his current projects have rapped filming.

The only part he has coming up is in Denis Villeneuve's remake of Dune, but that won't commence filming until much later this year. Almost as if he's deliberately kept WrestleMania season free and allowed for potential recovery time afterwards. Almost like that.

We'll get our answer this Sunday, and if he does appear it's a pretty simple plan from there to the Show of Shows. Whether or not you have Triple H in the Rumble you have Batista return, develop an angle on TV and then build the match from there. All things considered it's probably the best of the potential "Legends" clashes WWE could book, and after how his last return went it would be a far nicer way for fans to remember him.
