WWE Royal Rumble 2019: 10 Things That Must Happen

5. Asuka & Becky Lynch Becomes A Brawl

There was a genuine worry that Asuka would become an afterthought by Rumble time when she hauled down that SmackDown Women's Title at TLC. WWE had loads going on elsewhere, including a triangle of heat between Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey, and it seemed poor Asuka might become background noise.

She hasn't, and has instead whipped up quite the intense feud with Lynch on Tuesday nights.

Their brawl this past Tuesday was awesome, and this Sunday needs more of it. If Rousey vs. Banks is going to be a straight-ahead singles, then Asuka vs. Becky must be a fiery fracas that requires multiple refs, some security staff and more to break it up. This, more than anything, should be about preparing Lynch for Ronda.

The brawling helps feed that forthcoming clash without shifting away from the ongoing SmackDown narrative between champ and challenger. WWE should add some spice here by writing another pull apart on the Kickoff then announcing that Asuka vs. Lynch is now 'No Holds Barred'.
