WWE Royal Rumble 2020: 10 Former Stars Who Should Return Tonight!

1. Edge

Edge returning to the ring would have been unfathomable even one year ago, but there has been enough talk about it happening after all these years that it could very well be a possibility at the 2020 Royal Rumble.

Where there's smoke, there's fire, and where there's fire, there's Edge.

Although Edge's in-ring retirement was abrupt in April 2011, he went out on the highest note possible as the World Heavyweight champion having wrestled his last match at WrestleMania. It doesn't get much better than that, but it's also hard to argue that it'd be awesome to see him step inside the squared circle one more time.

Regardless of whether he has one more run left in him or not, a one-off return in the Rumble for Edge is absolutely plausible.

Daniel Bryan, for one, defied the odds and got cleared by doctors despite being told he'd never wrestle again. Of course, Edge's issue was with his neck and not concussions, but it's strange he was given the green light to get physical with Elias at SummerSlam 2019 after not delivering a single Spear in over eight years.

On the 10 year anniversary of when The Rated-R Superstar last returned in the Rumble and won the whole thing, don't be surprised if you hear "You think you know me" on Sunday and the raucous reaction that'd surely follow.
